At Careoligy, we like to think we are providing a workout for the mind and body!
Our aim is to create the optimum Day Care centre. We have set up this business in order to make a difference to the individual’s quality of life, enabling them to retain some of their independence and dignity. Ultimately enhancing and extending their lives. We will provide a day care facility with recreational, leisure and holistic activities to maximise and enhance quality of life.
There is a recognised need for supportive day care facilities for those involved in caring for their loved ones or elderly due to the 24/7 a week placed on caregivers. There is also a strong desire for adults with care needs and the elderly group to stay as independent at home for as long as possible, where social interaction and some helpful support in a stimulating social environment where a pleasant, non-institutional and non-threatening setting to enhance quality of life and family dynamics.

We promote creativity and arts, fitness and wellbeing, recreational therapies, pet therapy, in-house entertainment, and the programmes are tailored to meet individual needs. Our day programmes include:

Careoligy is for anyone with disabilities – individuals with care needs or age-related issues or those with elderly parents who still live in their own homes but may need assistance with their care, support, stimulation or require periods of enhanced support. Packages will be bespoke, flexible and tailored to the individual’s needs.

Our Leadership Team
Our team has extensive care and business experience with core values ensuring a knowledgeable and highly skilled approach is available to all service users. We are a highly motivated group of individuals who have a good cross section of skills, experience, interests and community knowledge. We embrace family values and have the passion and commitment to provide quality care for the elderly population in Fife and offer a service that will treat the client as though they are one of our own family members.
Anne Ciarletta
Care Director
Anne started working as a Nursing Auxiliary at the age of 17 at Forth Park’s Geriatric Ward. Anne undertook her nursing training in 1988. On qualifying as a staff nurse Anne remained in the NHS for a further 38 years before retiring in 2021 at 55. During this time Anne built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in a plethora of clinical areas; Paediatrics, Gynecology, Colposcopist Nurse Specialist and Clinical Nurse Management and Duty Management for the whole of the Victoria Hospital.
Knowing that on retiring Anne was not finished with caring she formulated a vision for an Elderly Day Care Center in Kirkcaldy. With the help and support of family and friends this vision has now been realised as Careoligy.
Anne is a qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher. She has also undertaken additional training in Reiki, Reflex therapy and is committed to life long learning.
Catherine Cummings
Care Director
Recently retired Head of Midwifery for Fife NHS with 42 years of extensive clinical and managerial experience with an in-depth knowledge of clinical management requirements.
Sandra Fawns
Care Director
Previously Sandra was a Senior Charge Nurse within Gynaecology for over 22 years, at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and she has over 37 years extensive nursing experience.
Sandra has direct experience of dementia within her own family, by caring for her late mother who had vesicular dementia. Opening up this day care centre has given Sandra an opportunity to give the care, attention and stimulation to others, that she couldn’t give her own mum as she was working full time.
Sandra has seen the benefits that social stimulation, therapies- art, music, reflexology, exercise, yoga and many others can directly enhance the life’s of people living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Finance Director
With a background of over 40 years of accounting and financial experience also involved in running private sector businesses he has a wealth of knowledge and experience covering all professions.
Brigid Doherty MacPherson
Marketing Director / Project Manager
Brigid Doherty is the Managing Director of Bridg-it Marketing Ltd and founder of Bridg-it Properties Ltd, Creativebridge Ltd, Indigobridge Ltd & Bridg-it Graphics Ltd. Working in the creative industry for over 30 years since starting her own business in 1987. Providing advice on all aspects of design, print and marketing solutions to enable business growth and increase turnover. More often than not, MD’s of SME’s don’t have the time to sit down and look at Marketing Strategy. One of Brigid’s main strength is Brand Management, development & implementation leading to business growth. She won the accolade of Scottish business person of the year in 2000.

Megan McArthur
Care Manager
Megan McArthur a Registered Nurse from 2008, she has experience in Gynaecology/Oncology both in Glasgow and Fife providing a holistic approach to patients and their families. She has also worked more recently for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) carrying out assessments both telephone and face to face with claimants covering a wide range of disabilities and health conditions requiring to clinically assess, talk and listen.
Megan enjoys providing high quality care for her clients and also their families ensuring that every client is treated as an individual and being part of the Careoligy family.
Olivia Duncan
Support Assistant
Olivia is one of our support assistants at Careoligy. She has been at Careoligy for over a year where she enjoys caring for and spending time with the Careoligy clients. Olivia is bubbly, full of fun and always smiling thus adding to the warm, family friendly Careoligy ambience. Olivia is gifted in Arts and Crafts and regularly leads and supports clients in these fun filled sessions. Olivia is currently studying for her SVQ2 Level 6 in Social Services and Health Care.
Marie McIntosh
Support Assistant
Marie is one of our support assistants at Careoligy. She has recently retired from the NHS after 25 years service. Marie has a passion for caring and loves her time at Careoligy having fun and making clients smile.
Enzo
Therapy Dog
Enzo is a three year old Italian Greyhound. He is Careoligy’s therapy dog who loves, meeting people, cuddles and lots of attention. The dog loving clients adore Enzo. Enzo is in Careoligy every Wednesday and Friday morning for around an hour.

Information is collected in a number of ways, via your initial day care assessment before arriving at our services, referral details from Social Work, your GP, other Allied Health Professionals or directly given by you or your family.
- Personal details of Service User: name, address and telephone number along with photo ID;
- A photograph of the Service User;
- Religious and cultural beliefs;
- Next of kin, and their contact details;
- Personal medical information including past medical history, medication requirements, or whether the Client has capacity to make decisions;
- Care plans;
- A Service User’s care preferences, details of a Service User’s pets, favourite activities, dietary requirements;
- Financial information such as credit/debit card numbers;
- Continuous reviews, e.g. service reviews.
- The personal data we collect may also include so called ‘sensitive’ or ‘special categories’ of personal data, such as details about your health or ethnic origin. Where required to by Data Protection Legislation, we will seek separate permission from you in writing to process these special categories of personal data;

From applicants to Careoligy Ltd
We may collect the following types of personal information (personal data) about you in connection with applying to be an employee or carer for Careoligy Ltd:
- your name and date of birth;
- your home address and contact details (including your mobile telephone number and email address);
- your educational (including what training courses you have completed) and professional qualifications, your right to work, visa status, employment status;
- your experience in providing care in a professional capacity;
- what training courses you have completed;
- any other information about you that you disclose to us during the application process including your CV;
- Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme;
- details of how you heard about us.

Special Category Data
